New sanitary Sewer upgrades and treatment site for the Town of Bralorne BC. The project work consisted of the following:
- 2280m of 200mm PVC sanitary sewer main,
- 185m of 150mm PVC sanitary sewer mains,
- 107-100mm sanitary sewer services,
- 45 sanitary sewer manholes,
- Sanitary sewer treatment system including septic tank installation, biofilter installation and outfall.
Roadworks and utility upgrades on Third Street, Hillcrest Avenue and Wakesiah Avenue. The project scope consisted of:
- watermain, storm sewer and sanitary sewer upgrades
- new services to property line
- roadway re-profilling
- frontage works; curbs; sidewalks
- street lighting; underground hydro/tel/cable works
- landscaping and associated appurtenances
The work involved separting the existing combined sewer from 5th and 6th Ave between Montrose St. and Melsrose St., in Port Alberni BC. This included the supply and installation of approximately 350 metres of 300 & 375mm Dia. PVC gravity sewer, 160 metres of 600 & 900mm dia. concrete storm sewer, manhole, services and alterations to the existing 900mm dia. combined sewer.
- Construction of a 63,000 m3 Impervious Earthen Containment Dam
- Forming and pouring of reinforced concrete foundations – 2,600 m3
- Supply and installation of reinforcing steel – 180,000 kg
- Trench Excavation complete with rock removal and backfill of all process piping and utilities: water, electrical, mechanical, perimeter lighting, etc.
- Site drainage, grading and final gravel surfacing – 35,000 m2
- Construction of an 18m long by 7.2m wide Precast Concrete Girder Bridge
- Supply and installation of pre-cast concrete abutment cap beams, precast girders (6), precast parapets, parapet railings and concrete roadside barriers
- Supply and Installation of 72 LM of 406 diameter steel pipe piles
- Construction of roadway approaches
- Traffic management including detours
- Demolition and removal of existing structure (culvert)
- Supply and installation of new sanitary force main suspended from bridge
- Supply and placement of road gravels c/w asphalt paving
- Environmental Management and Quality Management
- Construction of a 25 m long pre-cast concrete box girder bridge with cast-in-situ concrete abutments
540 m of approach roadwork including:
- Clearing and grubbing
- 22,000 m3 of excavation
- Production and placement of road gravels
- Paving
- Traffic control, including detours
- Design, supply and installation of 958 m2 of MSE retaining walls, complete with manufacturing of required gravels
- Major Intersection Realignment requiring staged construction to allow uninterrupted flow of ferry terminal traffic
- New construction and upgrading of existing roads and parking lots, complete with gravel surfacing, paving, and road markings
- Upgrading of underground utilities: storm, sanitary and water
- Electrical and street lighting upgrades
- Supply and Installation of new signage, including large sign structures spanning several lanes of traffic
- Installation of new security fencing to comply with new federal security regulations
- Construction of new Washroom Building
- Construction of new Toll Booths
- Direct buried cable installation of new primary voltage power, copper communications and fiber optic cabling (6.2km) encompassing all electrically related civil works, trenching, backfilling, resurfacing of the road

Recoating of the interior of BR2 Penstock 2 and Unit 7 and Unit 8 scroll cases (~142,000 ft²), fabrication and install penstock modifications, and repairs to exterior coating (<500 ft²). Areas recoated include the penstock interior, turbine scroll cases interior and TIV interior. The work includes removal of silt deposits and substances detrimental to painting, surface preparation for painting, and paint application.
Seismic Retrofit of Existing Dam. Work included approximately 500m3 of new cast-in-place concrete, supply and installation of tensioned rock anchors, structural steel upgrades and new gate houses.
