SCOPE OF THE WORK

The project involves the installation of 140m of shoreline protection following a hybrid approach using conventional hard armouring solutions and bioengineering principles. The shoreline protection has been designed avoid excavation of the backshore due to archeological concerns. To minimize impacts to the beach where possible, the design has been developed to utilize a combination of riprap and ‘bio-engineered’ soil wraps (geotextile and native vegetation plantings and live stakes).
